Whether you are looking for a quaint café, family-friendly spots, or special occasion dining and more refined experiences, the surrounding area offers a wide choice to suit every taste. The Flame Tree Café - our absolute favourite lunch spot
Loom Deli - opened by the owner of the Cheesy Toast Shack, a great lunch spot
Eastfield - unique, vibrant restaurant for lunch, open for dinner on Saturdays
The Bach - lovely Kiwi restaurant with tasty food and relaxed vibe
Gallery 48 - a popular tapas bar in a gallery, make sure to check out the current exhibition
Gidi Grill - delicious West African & Caribbean style food
The Giddy Goose - wine and pizza bar, also has delicious burgers and craft beers for the non-wine and pizza lovers!
The Shoreline - just across the Tay Bridge in Newport, a restaurant with amazing views across the Tay (pictured)
Perthshire & Surrounding Area
Flour Coffee Shop & Deli, Meigle - one of our favourites, they do excellent food and great deli next door
The Earn Coffee Shop - warm and welcoming, great coffee and cakes
The Lass O’Gowrie, Errol - fantastic café for coffee, cake, lunch and brunch
Glendoick Garden Centre - a nice quick lunch spot with kids play area and a great shop
Black Watch Museum Café - lovely café in Perth, museum is worth a visit
The Rhynd - the perfect pit stop from Tentsmuir beach, great breakfast and lunches - our favourite bacon roll spot!
Loch Levens Larder - lovely food, children’s play area, and shop
Tailend Restaurant, St Andrews - excellent fish and chips, fresh seafood
The Meikleour Arms - a fantastic pub/restaurant, delicious food, great to sit outside for a drink in the summer (pictured)
The Taybank, Dunkeld - another lovely pub, great food and large beer garden overlooking the river
Glenturret Distillery Lalique Restaurant - for an extra special occasion. We came here for a multi-course tasting menu for Nicola’s 50th and had an incredible experience - excellent food, service, and setting
Farm Shops & Fresh Produce
The Butcher The Baker, Dundee - we go here often, an excellent local butcher, with amazing friendly staff
Grewars Farm shop - only 10 minutes away, great selection of local/Scottish produce, also have good takeaway cakes, coffee and fresh loaves of bread!
Gloagburn Farm Shop, Perthshire - has an excellent restaurant for breakfast and lunch, sells lovely fresh produce and has a large gift shop
Balgove Larder, St.Andrews - a family favourite when we are over in St.Andrews, we absolutely love the steak barn!
Longparke Farm Shop and Café, Monifieth - good breakfast, lunch and shop
The House of Bruar - Worth a stop here if you are heading up the A9 for a road trip
