  • Camperdown Country Park and Wildlife Centre - perfect for families, with animals, a play park, and café

  • Dundee Botanic Gardens - run by the University of Dundee, featuring tropical and temperate glass houses, gardens are good for a short, scenic walk

  • Sensations Science Centre - an interactive museum that is great for kids, and equally engaging for adults

  • Verdant Works Museum - an industrial history museum set in a beautiful restored 1833 jute mill

  • Dundee Law Monument - an amazing viewpoint at the city’s highest point, and a monument rich in history

Cycling

  • Invergowrie & West Carse - for easier cycle routes for all skill levels, like the Hazel Avenue and Wildlife Pond loops

  • River Tay & Inchture - explore routes along the Tay, connecting to the Green Circular route near Inchture and Longforgan

  • Lundie & Ballo Wood - excellent for mountain biking, with routes for beginners and more advanced sections

  • Scone & Moncrieffe Hill - many cycle routes and paths

  • Ledcrieff Loch Trout Fishery - nearby in the beautiful Sidlaw Hillls (pictured), with rainbow, brown, tiger, and blue trout

  • Scottish Antiques & Arts Centre, Abernyte - has a huge and impressive selection, it is easy to spend hours here, has a great café too

  • Glamis Castle - a magnificent castle with a rich history that offers guided tours and beautiful gardens

  • Falkland Palace - a well-preserved Renaissance palace, with one of the world’s oldest tennis courts dating from 1539!
